- Alessi miniatures
Icons in miniature

Italian design house Alessi has scaled down their distinctive designs into a miniature collection of the brand’s classics.

Since 1921, the Alessi dynasty has been consistently breaking new industry ground whilst abiding to their extremely lofty standards. Their highly creative aesthetics are teamed with a fascinating practicality, ensuring that the simplest of items can become iconic.

The collection was created with special consideration for collectors, to give them the chance to complete their private collections of authentic objects in a limited space.

Comprising a collection of classics from the last 60 years of Alessi’s flourishing history, the set features highly acclaimed pieces including Carlo Alessi’s Bombé teapot (1945) and Stephano Giovannoni’s Mami saucepan (1999).

To purchase and view the Alessi miniatures, visit the Alessi department, second floor.

- Evian bottle
Haute Couture gets watered-down

On first impressions, a prestigious fashion house and a mineral water manufacturer isn’t a collaboration that immediately springs to mind. But when Christian Lacroix unveiled his exquisite line of bottles for Evian, all reservations were thrown out the window.

From an extremely limited-edition collection, Christian Lacroix’s Ice Queen bottle for Evian sits as 1 of only 99 items produced. Taking inspiration from a red wedding dress that was worn by Madonna, the bottle strikes a glistening figure with a fluid, water-like quality.

“I gave the silhouette of a princess, a goddess or a mythical creature, a sort of snow fairy in couture garb,” muses Lacroix. “Crowned with flowers, bejewelled with crystals, ‘wearing’ the familiar range of jagged peaks and ridges, like the flounces of a crinoline."

The Lacroix Ice Queen bottle will be sold by silent auction, with a minimum reserve of £1000, in aid of the Royal Marsden Hospital. View the bottle in Crystal & Glass, second floor.

- Guerlain mascara
Double take

For the first time, Guerlain has introduced Le Deux Mascara; a two-brush mascara which creates perfect lashes right down to the finest one, thanks toa remarkable technological innovation.

The avant-gardism of The Two by Guerlain and the House’s legendary refinement called for an object that unites functionality and aesthetics.

Created by Helle Damkjaer, the new mascara was inspired by “the latest trends in architecture, the magnificent towers that are appearing in the world’s most beautiful cities.”

Le Deux uses two brushes; the wands of both brushes are short, making them easier to handle so application becomes more precise and the gesture simpler and more effective.

Guerlain's Le Deux Mascara can be purchased from Cosmetics, ground floor

- Laurent Perrier
Baccarat with a Bubbly Twist

In a sparkling collaboration that combines two houses of pure luxury, Baccarat blend their exalted glass knowledge with Laurent-Perrier’s exceptional Champagne house to present a simply sensational spring gift.

Comprising a bottle of sumptuous Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut Champagne and an exquisite Baccarat vase, this gift set is in a limited-edition collection of only 250.

The customised Baccarat perfection vase is inspired by the essence of the rose-tinted Champagne and decorated with an enamel design in cherry blossom. This crystal vase is ideal for showcasing a magnificent bouquet, whilst also designed perfectly to be used as an elegant Champagne bucket.

View the Baccarat and Laurent-Perrier Champagne set in Crystal & Glass, second floor.

- Pot Noodle
Posh Noodle

The Pot Noodle was launched back in 1977 by Golden Wonder, when convenience was the future and noodles were the exotic! The original idea of ‘cup noodles’ came from Japan but it has since captured the hearts - and stomachs - of our nation’s youth, developing a cult status. Pot Noodle is made in the Welsh town of Crumlin in South Wales, where a staggering 155 million pots a year are produced. They celebrated 25 years of Pot Noodle production there in 2004.

To celebrate the iconic food, Harrods has partnered with Pot Noodle to create a luxury meal solution: the ‘Poulet et Champignon’ dining experience. A complete nutritious dining experience in a limited edition case, this contains a limited edition ‘Posh Noodle’, a fork and table linen to enjoy (we recommend that filtered or mineral water is used to rehydrate this dish).

As with all Pot Noodle products, there are no artificial colours or preservatives and all are 100% suitable for vegetarians. Only 100 special-edition Pot Noodles will be available to buy and all proceeds will go to charity.

Purchase the Posh Noodle from the Food Halls, ground floor, between 14th April and 24th May.

- Tetra Pak
The whole designer package

Tetra Pak single-handedly transformed the way manufacturers packaged their products with their revolutionary cartons and bottles.

Tetra Pak's impact on retail is often underestimated and undervalued. However, Design Icons acknowledges the effect Tetra Pak's packaging concepts have had on the industry and hails their Heritage pack as an iconic design of our time.

In return, Tetra Pak have taken their celebrated design and filled it with a pure, refreshing mineral water, exclusively for Design Icons at Harrods customers. Labelled with the promotion's logo, this bottled drink is limited edition and available for purchase during the course of the campaign.

Tetra Pak's limited-edition Design Icons mineral water can be purchased from the Food Halls, ground floor.
